Sažetak
The paper presents the EC Council Regulation No. 1206/2001 relating to cooperation between the judical authorities of the Member States in the taking of evidence in civil and commercial matters, Regulation (EC) No. 1393/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the service in the Member States of judicial and extrajudicial documents in civil or commercial matters, Council Regulation 861/2007 establishing a European Small Claims Procedure and Regulation (EC) No 1896/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council creating a European order for payment procedure as an examples of a new integration model in the European civil procedural law. Judicial cooperation in civil matters aims to establish closer cooperation between the authorities of Member States. It seeks to eliminate obstacles deriving from incompatibilities between the various legal and administrative systems, and thus facilitate access to justice. Judicial cooperation in civil matters contributes to the area of justice, freedom and security.
