Sažetak
The fact that there is a clear problem with Jewish representation in the media is nothing new. However, researches concentrate on films while I am interested in TV series because series have an even larger impact on audiences, and there are hardly any researches on this matter. In line with that, it has to be noted that investigation of the Jewish representation can hardly be done on Europe where Jews are only present through the Holocaust while in the United States they have presence in popular culture, but also in Television Series in more general terms. Therefore, I investigated TV series ‘Friends’ that is no longer on air, but it is still popular among new generations and in a way, the series never ended. In that, I investigated personal and religious identities of American Jews, which are largely presented through stereotyped views when it comes to personal identities, and as almost entirely assimilated when it comes to their religious identities.
