Sažetak
At the „Regional Stakeholder Workshop on Nuclear Applications in Support of Air Quality Management“ IAEA TC Project RER/1/008 “Supporting Air Quality Management” Meeting, held in Sofia, Bulgaria, 2-4 October 2012, the decision was made to organize and perform the Proficiency Testing of APM elemental content. Two different testing methods were set out: A. PT based on real samples collected as a part routine monitoring (Croatia) B. PT based on the samples prepared by use of certified reference materials (Greece) Organization of PT exercise A, sample collection and distribution, data collection, statistical elaboration of the results, and report preparation were performed at the Environmental Hygiene Unit of the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health, Zagreb, Croatia. In this PT, laboratories from 12 countries and the IAEA laboratory in Seibersdorf, Austria, participated, amounting to 18 participants. Seven analytical methods were used for the elemental analysis of samples: ED-XRF, WD-XRF, PIXE, ICP-MS, GF-AAS, AAS and NAA.
