Sažetak
The collaboration between experts and activist working in the field of heritage and geo- information in Croatia resulted in the launching of Suhozid.hr, a citizen science web portal based on Public Participatory GIS. This interactive GIS database (geo-information system) allows people (heritage enthusiasts, professionals, tourists and others) to use a web interface or mobile application in order to feed into the database multimedia information on dry stone buildings and landscapes - from the basic info (photograph + geo-location) to descriptions, additional photographs, drawings and links. As the editorial published on the portal says, first year activities are focused on creating a list of sites, which should be followed by professional categorization and public evaluation enabled by a Wiki plat form, and could further on lead to the use of more advanced GIS functions (advanced search, analyses of distribution, functional and spatial relationships etc.).
