Sažetak
A quadruple 14th Joint Vacuum Conference + 12th European Vacuum Conference + 11th Annual Meeting of the German Vacuum Society + 19th Croatian-Slovenian Vacuum Meeting was held in Dubrovnik, 4-8 June 2012. The conference had 5 plenary, 1 Rudolf Jaeckel lauretae, 2 keynote and 16 invited talks, while the body of the conference contained 63 oral and 122 poster presentations, with two (or three) parallel sessions occurring daily. The oral sessions were mostly devoted to Vacuum Science and Technology (19), Thin Films and Surface Engineering (16), Surface Science and Applied Surface Science (13).Only a handful of high-quality conference contributions were selected for publication through a standard journal peer-review process in this special issue of VACUUM.
