Sažetak
River Neretva is a major source of sediment material on the Eastern Adriatic coast. Mean concentration values of 18 chemical elements in the coastal sea samples from non-contaminated coves were compared with the concentration of these elements in the delta of river Neretva region. A special evaluation of Cu, Zn, As and Pb concentration values in the Eastern Adriatic Sea and River Neretva sediments has been performed. Higher concentration levels for all four elements are found in all areas of delta (115 analized samples) implicating the antropogenic influence, mainly intensive agriculture practices.
