Sažetak
A significant experimental work has been reported in literature considering applying fuzzy logic reasoning to variety of industrial processes. In this chapter some of the most interesting examples of fuzzy logic usage in colour matching processes will be presented, also interesting cases of fuzzy logic usage in textile dyeing process will be reviewed, and finally the part of a research work of surface structure influences on coloured textiles using fuzzy logic reasoning and approach, performed by authors, will be presented. As possibility of using fuzzy logic approach in colour matching processes on coloured textile, we will present the original scientific research of surface structure influences on coloured textiles applying fuzzy logic. As textile is a highly heterogeneous in its structure, it is often a difficult task to achieve the satisfactory colour similarity on the different structured textile materials. The modern approach to improved colour matching is through application of fuzzy logic system in aim of achieving the advanced way of observing the influences of surface structure to colour similarity. It is a rule – based approach which is tolerant of imprecise data and any set of input-output data can be created as a fuzzy system. In this chapter the fuzzy logic based approach was performed in studying the influence of a different textile surface structure on colour appearance and similarity. For the analyses 100% cotton samples of certain characteristics were chosen. In the step considering fuzzy logic, the system was created based on terms that would define the surface characteristics of samples. The most important part was proper definition of rules and linguistic variables that use words for assigning values of properties that influence the experience of an observer (gloss, smoothness, roughness, etc.) and connect input space with output space. In this chapter the approach are based exactly on surface – structural characteristics of textile samples and the main idea was to examine the approach using fuzzy logic based technique in order to provide the method that would include surface parameters of textile samples that are of importance in colour applying on a different structured textile surfaces. It was confirmed that the fuzzy logic reasoning would have its application in control of surface structure influence of coloured textiles, especially for lighter shades where the influence of structure parameters on the colour experience of an observer is more emphasized.
