Sažetak
Air pollution in general and particulate matter (called PM) as a special case requires several instruments and methodologies to be evaluated adequately. In this paper there are resented most advanced instruments as well most effective methodologies on nowadays PM monitoring. We have introduced also with the usage of information and communication technologies (ICT) in PM monitoring and analyses. The suitable combination between instruments and methodologies used in monitoring campaigns can raise very effective results on PM monitoring on various areas. Areas where these techniques can be used can cover a wide range ; from urban and industrialized centers to rural and remote areas, from seashore to high altitude mountains. In short the techniques discussed in this paper can give a clear picture on air pollution situation during various monitoring campaigns of particulate matter.
