Sažetak
Turbomachinery rotors can be severely damaged by loosing several blades. In that case rotor has large unbalance forces, and during run down passes through critical speeds which increase even large forces. Bearing can be damaged through increase of clearance and loss of oil. Severe rubbing can occur and complete disintegration can be expected.
To overcome secondary consequences, turbomachines have to be designed against disintegration of bearing caps and pedestals. One of the steps in solving this problem is knowing critical speeds with increased clearances in bearings and bearings without oil. Computational analysis and measurements on test rotor are undertaken.
