Sažetak
It is often said that every child is potentially talented, but this is impossible. There is, in fact, 15 do 20% of potentially talented children in the population, and highly talented from 3 to 5%. It is also a fact, that every child should be treated as a potentially talented and secure the child the nurture and education which will maximize the development of their potentials. This is extremely important for those 15 to 20% of really talented children, so their potential won’t be lost in inadequate conditions. The experts who work with children are more prone to describe the majority of children as creative in some area. They are often referring to skills and abilities in the areas of arts. The subject of this paper is the comparison of potentially talented children with creative children in the early and preschool age to determine if talents and creativity are the same characteristics and if one includes the other. As there are potentially talented children, there are also potentially creative children which need to be in a stimulating environment. The responsibility for organizing a stimulating environment in preschool institutions lies on the educators.
