Sažetak
The spread of Trichinellosis in Croatia is a significant public health problem. Epidemic process is environmental process of emergence, spread and disappearance of the infection within the human population. There are two fundamental forms of appearances, endemic and epidemic. Following the epidemiological epizootiological situation in Croatia was found that the disease occurs in parts of Eastern Slavonia, which is well known for its traditional way of pig farming. Anti Trichinellosis Program in the Republic of Croatia and Vukovar-Syrmia County was conducted with systematic pest control using rodenticides based on bromadiolone or brodifacoum. The aim of this study is to present the amount of used rodenticides in the observed period and the number of patients with Trichinellosis in the Vukovar-Syrmia County.
