Sažetak
The surface (kinesiological) electromyography is a measuring technique used to detect and register bioelectric changes in active skeletal musculature. The aim of this investigation was to determine which muscle(s) (or muscle head) is more engaged in a particular abdominals exercise performance. One female aerobics instructor volunteered in the study. The intensity and duration of recruitment of the following abdominal muscles were measured during the performance of three exercises. The Muscle Tester ME3000 Professional was used for measurement. The data collected over EMG to measure muscles activity was used for visually analysis. The graphic representations make it obvious that m.rectus abdominis was maximally recruited in the first and second exercises, whereas activation of the m.obliquus abdominis was equally strong in the all three exercises (expect when subject preformed rotation in the left side). Further, the some difference in activation was obtained between the left and the right side of the observed muscles.
