Sažetak
As a member of 6xxx series, alloy EN AW 6060 is commonly used for outdoor architectural sections or interior furniture/office equipment. Welding is widely used joining technique for constructions made from this Al-Mg-Si alloy. In order to reveal the intermetallic phases in heat affected zone (HAZ) of MIG-welded EN AW 6060, microstructural characterization has been performed using optical microscopy and SEM/EDS. The results revealed complex microstructure development in HAZ, which is the result of various solidification reactions due to heat input during welding process and due to difference in chemical composition of base metal and filler material.
