Sažetak
The paper discusses methodical competence of teacher trainees in their written paper at their professional knowledge exam. The aim of this paper is to establish the existence of methodical competence of the Croatian language teacher trainees in their written paper at their professional knowledge exam where we focused on the following categories: application of theoretical methodical knowledge of basic sciences and special theoretical methodical knowledge, connecting theoretical knowledge and practical experience, and furthermore, finding practical examples and references in literature on methodology. The research was conducted on collected documentation of 58 written papers of Croatian language teacher trainees in primary and secondary schools in the counties: Istarska, Primorsko-goranska, Ličko-senjska, Zagrebačka, Međimurska, Varaždinska, Osječko-baranjska, Brodsko-posavska, Požeško-slavonska and Virovitičko-podravska. Based on this research it was found that the Croatian language teacher trainees show methodical competence especially in application of theoretical methodical knowledge of basic sciences and special theoretical methodical knowledge and references in literature on metodology.
