Sažetak
The process is claimed to work well on any type of paper – coated or uncoated – as well as a range of common plastic films and foils making it suitable for packaging printing. The process uses nano-sized pigments to absorb more light than other pigments so CMYK color gamut can be expanded and covering more Pantone colors than offset printing. Nanography is achived by eliminating the absorption of the liquid ink carrier by the substrate. Ultra-small NanoInk pigments – and their ability to form a very thin layer of ink – allow digital printing at very high speeds. Pigment particles are in the tens of nanometers in size while offset inks have a particle size of 500 nm. It is not expected implementation of Nanography press for the next 2 to 3 years. It can be scratches on the print and the drying theory of Nanography is not clear.
