Sažetak
Although there is a significant number of literature data1 about the sampling and preparation of the specimens for the phase analysis of polycrystalline materials, they are insufficient in case of polycrystalline materials characterization. So, the error in the sampling operation becomes increasingly significant. The heterogeneity of trace components can introduce may or problems. So, the polycrystalline material samples of different origin: dust samples were taken in the working area, as well as samples of casting powder taking during the study of melting ; thin protective film, sediments, precipitates, corrosion product and others for the analysis were prepared as samples and separated. Sample and each separated part of sample were broke into approximately microfraction2 and measured by photographic and/ or counting techniques on the diffractometer system, type Philips. A certain proportion of samples and separated samples have been analyzed on scanning electron probe microanalyzer as well. The obtained results have been interpreted. They proof previous observation in the study of accuracy of phase identification in polycrystalline sample3 and show the necessity of using certain methods of sample treatment during sampling and preparation procedures to increase detactability of polycrystalline materials.
