Sažetak
Common agricultural policy of EU since 1962 had huge impact on whole European agricultural sector. Many could argue that that impact was versatile. The same could be said for CEE countries which entered EU after 2004. Special emphasis should be put on the fact that most of those countries came from different political system and just before or even during EU accession went through the period of transition. This means that those countries went from collectively owned farms transformed to private establishments. During that period lots of farms disappeared, land ownership became a problem and that had huge impact on number of cattle, crop and feed prices and market in whole. When looking at the prices of milk, meat and maize there is obvious trend of price stabilization in period from 2004 till 2006 in all CEE countries. The same was not observed in cattle number. For the new EU countries problem was as well adaptation on for them new EU rules. Often could be heard that sometimes those rules favour old EU countries or otherwise it could be said that old member states are better prepared for implementation of those rules.
