Sažetak
The story is about the interesting finding that MCMV vector expressing NKG2D ligand RAE-1 and foreign CD8 epitope induces robust CD8 response, in spite of its dramatic attenuation in vivo. We worked out the mechanism to some extent and it looks like such a virus enhances direct antigen presentation. Above all, by using NKG2D k.o. mouse, we also observed this enhancing immunogenicity of this virus vector, suggesting that there must be another immune function for RAE-1.
