Sažetak
When developing systems based on web service compositions, it is important to define a methodology for handling web service interfaces. Handling web service interfaces comprises publishing, storing and retrieving of interfaces. UDDI is a well-known standard that offers aforementioned possibilities. This paper defines methodology with necessary steps involved in the process of handling web service interfaces and introduces how UDDI deals with it. Although web service registries in general do not manage versioning of interfaces, version control process must be considered together with the other processes supported by registries, so a version management and its relation to registries are also considered in the paper. A final part of the paper introduces models of search engines able to perform search over registries and interface versions based on a given criteria. It is considered how these search engines can be used in conjunction with web service orchestrations.
