Sažetak
Hydrometallurgical treatment of covellite can be performed in absence or in presence of oxidizing agent. Leaching of covellite rich ore from Bor copper-ore deposit (Serbia) was done in presence of oxidizing agent by iron (III) sulphate as leaching agent. On the basis of its XRPD pattern, the sample from Bor copper-ore deposit contains quartz, pyrite and covellite. Also, other minerals like digenite, enargite and chalcopyrite could also be present in small quantities, but more accurate method is needed to prove it. The Rietveld analysis yielded 14.6 wt. % covellite, 20.8 wt. % pyrite, and 64.6 wt. % quartz.
