Sažetak
Research on the dam reservoirs Hazna and Vidara, relating to the water supply needs of Gradačac, included analyses of plankton community, benthos, bacteria and physico-chemical parameters. Samples were collected in October 1996 and February, May and August 1997. All analyses were done using standard methods. In the zooplankton community Rotifer fauna was dominant and represented by 12 species. The majority of species were nanophytoplankton filtrators (e. g. Kellicottia longispina, Polyarthra dolychoptera, Synchaeta oblongata, S. pectinata). Less abundant were sedimentators that filtrate bacteria suspension (e. g. Brachionus angularis, Keratella quadrata, K. cochlearis). The majority of species belonged to trophic group typical for mesotrophic lakes and just a few support the higher trophic degree, especially during the summer period. The proportion of Rotifers, as a main trophic group, in zooplankton communities of both lakes was between 68% and 76%, which supports, by many authors, that these lakes are mesoeutrophic.
