Sažetak
Platinum complexes are known therapeutic agents in medicine1. Cisplatin in particular is one of the very well known drugs for treatment of various cancers2. It is also documented that the negative side-effects of these drugs can be greatly reduced by the use of sulfur-containing compounds. Dithiocarbamates were evaluated as potential protectors of the kidneys from cisplatin3. Thus, the importance of studying dithiocarbamato platinum complexes increases. Here, the preparation and spectral characterization of the platinum (II) and platinum (IV) complexes with dithiocarbamato ligand (idadtc3-), based on iminodiacetate, is reported.
