Sažetak
In addition to the comprehensive qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis of all samples collected (Spiric et al. 2012 and Spiric et al. 2013), laboratory research by using the Kjeldahl analytical method was conducted inorder to determine nitrogen concentration in all collected moss samples. The total nitrogen concentration in mosses can potentially be used to estimate total nitrogen deposition and to identify areas with high nitrogen deposition in Croatia. The spatial variation in nitrogen concentration inmosses across Croatia should be analysed in greater detail to identify and understand the main causes of this variation. A Geographical distribution map of the nitrogen over the sampled territory was constructed using GIS technology.
