Sažetak
There are large numbers of factors which can influence the wetting or water repel/ency beha vior of textiles. The first one is the state of textiles that means the difference beha vior of row, pretreated and finished textiles on the base of different boundary surface. This range of surface can be breaded including fabric structure parameters that play a mayor role in interface phenomena like wetting and water repel/ency, as wel/. In the paper hydrophobic phenomena was studied for plain, twill, basket, 5-end and 10-end weft satin fabric from the same warp and weft density and the same yarn count. The paper deal with waterrepelent tests and surface free energy calculated using thin-layer method according Chibowski based on Washborn equation for the rate of the liquid penetration the rate of the liquid penetration into the porous solid for the horizontal capillary. This paper is focused on water repel/ency beha vior of different fabric structure based on type of weaving.
