Sažetak
Enterotoxigenic E. coli diarrhoea is considered as one of the economically most important diseases in swine husbandry. The objective of this study was to investigate does oral vaccination with F18ac+ non-ETEC 2143 (serotype O157:K119:F18ac) applied alone, or in combination with nonionic block copolymers, has any influence on production parameters or blood haematological and some biochemical parameters of weaned piglets. Oral vaccination of weaned piglets had no detrimental effect on body weight, hematological or chosen biochemical parameters. Combination with nonionic block copolymers showed similar results. In this experimental model POE-POP did not act neither as growth nor immune cells promotor, presumably because of the tolerogenic effect of the applied experimental oral vaccine against ETEC.
