Sažetak
In the afrermath of the Croatian Homeland War and Paeceful Integration Process it is dificult to cenceptualize socially constructed forms of reality as an integral part of the EU acession process in Croatia. In this paper, the reality of Croatian European integration process is deconstructed against the background of socially constructed EU policies and demography in order to develop conceptual tools, which enables one to better understand the EU acession framework for Croatia. It is argued that the socially constructed forms of reality and demography developed throught various EU policy papers and integration framework for Croatia diverge from the true reality of the post-communist transition and accession process. The analysis of official EU integration framework, policy papers and NUTS regional classification related to Croatias accession indicate a deep gap between what was socialli constructed and what is the reality of the integration process. Issues and controversies related to the social construction, deconstructed reality and demography of the Croatian European integration process are, therefore, discussed to the exent to which methodological rigor allows for critical theory to sustain the argued scientific debate.
