The horse bones elaborated in the communication were excavated from archaeological site Otok, whic is place near town Vinkovci in estern part of Croatia. All of bone fragments orginated from end of the 8th century, whic is determined using method for C14. The bones were founded in grave tohether with human bones. We assume that was horse with rider who been killed in battle. It seems that after horseriders dead, that horse was killedby hitting in the head and burried together in the some grave. 112 bones fragments were prepared for signature (0-70-16-x) and taxonomy investigation were made on 83 fragments, it means 74%.
