Sažetak
Histomorphometry in aged animals showed significant enhancement in bone volume at the sites where at least some bone was present at the beginning of therapy, since 1.7 years old animals did not have any permanent trabecular bone in the mid methaphysis at the beginning of therapy. These results show, for the first time that systemically administered BMP-6 has a significant anabolic effect in osteoporotic rats.
