Sažetak
The research subject of this paper deals with comparing the sapodrts of Rijeka and Koper in terms of equipment and productivity of container terminals. New transhipment capacities, optimal acceptance quality at container terminals directly affect the developing growth of container traffic. The increase of seaport traffic is the basis for entering a new investment cycle in order to modernise the existing port facilities and build up new modern terminals. Using calculation of the aggregate index, the level of equipment of the Rijeka port container terminal and the parallel port of Koper has been determined in the observed time interval. Given that the level of seaport equipment has a significant impact on competitiveness between the neighbouring ports, the parametres of subsystem productivity at the pier and on the operational area have been comparatively analysed from the proposed model.
