Sažetak
Pathomorphology examination confirmed virtually all acute and chronic course metabolic cardiovascular diseases in turkeys (CVDT) reported in literature so far: ascites – pulmonary hypertension syndrome (PHS) (age: 1 wk) ; sudden death syndrome with perirenal haemorrhages/SDPH (age: 8-19 wks) ; dilated myocardiopathy in turkey (DMC) (age: 2-10 wks) ; and aortic rupture/ dissecting aneurysm (age: 11-18 wks). Apart from the macroscopy and microscopy investigation results of 40 pathomorphologically examinated turkeys having died from the consequences of the mentioned CVDT, the preliminary results of molecular pathology assessment of inducible nitric oxide synthase gene (iNOS ; NOS2) and endothelial nitric oxide synthase gene (eNOS ; NOS3) as well as the results of molecular biology testing for the presence of viruses, were displayed in the paper. eNOS and iNOS are the enzymes by which the production of nitric oxide (NO) (the powerful pulmonary vasodilator, immunomodulator and neurotransmitter in humans, animal mammals and in birds) has been catalyzed.
