Sažetak
New mathematical expressions for prediction of hardness, yield strength and Charpy-V notch toughness of quenched and tempered steel were established. Quenched and tempered steel hardness is predicted based on as-quenched hardness of steel. In the relation between quenched and tempered steel hardness and as-quenched hardness of steel the hardenability of steel is taken in account. Yield strength and Charpy-V notch toughness of steel are predicted based on hardness of quenched and tempered steel. Mathematical model of mechanical properties of steel is based on relation of E. Just. Charpy-V notch toughness of cast steel is predicted by established relation between Charpy-V notch toughness of steel and cast steel. Established mathematical expressions were applied in computer simulation of mechanical properties of shafts made of quenched and tempered steel. In computer simulation of mechanical properties very well known relation between as-quenched hardness of steel and characteristic cooling time from 800 to 500 °C (t8/5) during the quenching is used.
