Sažetak
Clinical studies regarding anesthetic-preconditioning have been conducted during the last five years. So far, all studies have investigated the preconditioning effect of volatile anaesthetics during CABG surgery and other surgical procedures on the heart. Most of the conducted clinical studies have small groups of studied patients (20-72). Many questions remain unresolved, such as preconditioning effect in the aged and diseased myocardium. Clinical signifficance of anesthetic-precontioning for cardiac patients during non cardiac surgery has not yet been validated. It would be worthwile to determine proper end points and study design for the future researches.
