Sažetak
The main purpose of soil water balance calculation is obtaining the water quantity in the soil on the certain location during specific period, helping in the water management process. The various methods have been developed for the defining the soil water balance components.
The usage of these methods is primarily in agriculture for identifying water regime in the soil and problems that can occur during the year.
In this article will be given an application of three indirect methods. The first one is modified Throntwaite method (1956). The second one is Palmer method (mofified and adapted 1971), which is well known and widely used in practice. The third applied method is defining the soil water balance by mathematical model SWAP93 (1993).
All methods are compared to the measurements of some soil water balance components on the experimental field.
