Sažetak
Presentation gives an overview of energy consumption in wide area wireless access networks with emphasis on energy consumption of the base stations. Possible solutions in terms of using renewable energy sources such as: wind, solar, hydrogen and hybrid for energy supply of base stations are shown. In addition, previous results and projects in the area of improving energy-efficiency of cellular access networks of FESB research group headed by Josip Lorincz, Ph. D. and possibilities for future cooperation in this area are discussed.
