Sažetak
The main focus of this research is on evaluating economic influence of international tourism on the value of export of goods and services in the Republic of Croatia. The influence of tourism on economic development is achieved through numerous economic functions that generate certain economic effects. However, there is a problem related with conducting a thorough analysis of economic effects, which arises from the lack of reliable statistical and other indicators. Therefore, in conducting the analysis for the purpose of this paper only the influence of physical indicators of foreign tourists' overnight stays on the achieved value of the export of goods and services in Croatia was taken into account. The research has confirmed that the increase of international tourists' overnight stays has significant influence on the achieved value of export of goods and services in Croatia. At the same time, the importance of tourism as an export activity in Croatian economic development was determined, as one important goal of this paper.
