Sažetak
One of the core elements of sustainable development is communication: the process of mutual understanding among individuals, institutions such as schools, universities, business institutions, media, and politics, with the goal of establishing a connection between humans and their social and biological environment. The theoretical background of sustainability communication is an interdisciplinary cluster comprised of media theory, communication theory, psychology, sociology. The text clarifies the notion of sustainability communication and the theory and methods behind it. It explores the method of education processes examination ; focusing on engineering education processes. Since the engineering profession is especially important when it comes to changes in society through innovation and use of new technologies, the paper discusses the possibilities of sustainability communication in engineering education.
