Sažetak
In relation to continental area, Mediterranean region of the Republic of Croatia has notable advances for breding dairy sheep.Therefore, crossbreeding between domestic Istrian sheep (IP) and imported Sardinian (S) and East-Friesian (EF) sheep has been made in order to create improved domestic dairy sheep.This study presents results of breeding work through the several years in the region of Istra.Data of conformation of domestic genotype, milk production, fertility and fattening capability were reported.Results have showed increased milk production of new sheep genotypes, which have influence on increasing profitability of this type of stock production.
