Sažetak
A presentation of advance analytical techniques for identification and quantification of active compounds and impurities present in dietary supplements is given. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled to 3 different detectors, diode array (DAD), fluorescence (FLD) and electro spray ionization ion trap analyzer (ESI-MSn) is presented. Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is also described, since a micellar electrokinetic method (MEKC)is employed for determination of active compounds as well as toxic by-products. Headspace-gas chromatography-flame ionization detector (HSS-GC-FID) method is presented for determination of volatile compounds in diverse dietary supplements.
