Sažetak
We investigate the effect of two electrode configurations on the capacitive IBC transmission characteristics in the frequency range 100 kHz–100 MHz on 11 test subjects at 5 transmitter-receiver distances. Higher transmission gain is achieved for the electrode configuration B, and shorter distances. The gain is distance-dependent in the whole frequency range for the configuration A, and above 2 MHz for the configuration B. Also, above approximately 10 MHz the length of the body signal path becomes a significant part of the wavelength, so the radiation and scattering effects cannot be neglected.
