Sažetak
Hawthorn berries as well as infusions derived from them are a good dietary source of essential metals especially regarding K, Ca, Mg, Na, Ba, Mn, Zn, Cr, Cu, Sr, and Fe. Main part of metals extracted were found in the infusions after a decoction time of five minutes. The hawthorn fruits infusions contained high amounts of K, Ca, Mg, and Na at concentration levels of mg/L whereas Ba, Mn, Zn, Cr, Cu, Sr, and Fe are present at µg/L. The toxic elements Cd and Pb were not found in the final hawthorn fruits infusions, but in the fruits at 3- 4 µg/g.
