Sažetak
The authors presented the project "Homo homini hominus" dedicated to the victims of mobbing and organized by the Croatian Mobbing association. The beneficiary of the project are individuals who turned to the Mobbing association for help, as well as individuals at risk of becoming the victims of mobbing due to underdeveloped social skills. All of the users expressed both wish and need to boost their own potential of coping with stress at work, improving their relationships, and satisfying their needs more efficiently. The project is designed as a training of social skills according to principles of Choice theory and Reality therapy. The trainig is aimed at personal choices and potentials with a view of adopting more efficient patterns of behaviour in satisfying basic needs. The choice of more efficient patterns of behaviour will help the users satisfy their psychological needs more adequately, which will result in better personal and professional relationships. The great bulk of the work with clients consists of exploring (getting to know) the quality world. In their work with clients the trainers adopt approaches different from other approaches, that is, they do not tell the clients directly what to do (no external control) but teach them to adopt the concept of internal control/internal motivation. Clients are led to choose themselves which people, ideas, activities and beliefs they want to exclude from their quality world. They are also taught to be responsible in making their own choices. Within the trainig, different subjects are delt with (self-respect and the image of oneself, communication skills, identifying and expressing feelings, assertiveness, problem solving, anger control, stress, burnout at work, and coping with stress). The training consists of 15 workshops, each lasting 90 minutes over a period of four months. The authors will give interactive, step- by-step presentation of the workshop on the subject of assertiveness along with theoretical and informative review of the project.
