Sažetak
The corporate governance in Croatia has gained in its significance in the past few years, and Croatia has made a significant progress in developing the capital market which is to promote trade and good corporate governance. In the light of further developing the Croatian financial market, company law and corporate governance there was a need to harmonize and develop further with the instruments of the soft law asit was recommended by the EC Commission in the field of directors remuneration and independence. latest changes of legislation governing the company law introduced monistic system into Croatian legislation.
