Sažetak
Positioning of Croatian tourist offer is only possible in conditions of rapid adaptation to changes, with a key role of building, implementing and maintaining a system of experiences as a part of an integrated tourist offer. Tourist destination thus becomes recognizable only to the extent to which it offers experiential activities which lead to satisfying the needs and motivation for travel. Experience and desire to travel and experience something new and inexperienced is therefore based on the creation and planning of all activities. Although a tourist destination is placed in the centre of interest when it comes to the elaboration of experience system, in this paper emphasis is put on innovative forms of tourist attractions and offers that are associated with Croatian beaches. Guests now, more than ever before, search for unique experiences and unexpected facilities, special experiences, intense pleasure and fulfilment of desires. On their vacation, they want to experience something new and inexperienced, as opposed to the everyday and ordinary, which is usually associated with activities in nature, the impetus of passion, sensuality, emotion, health, love and freedom. In regard to this, Croatia as a tourist destination with its beautiful beaches provides opportunities that have not sufficiently been evaluated when taking into account the implementation of beach events system.
