Sažetak
Leptospirosis can be acute and chronic, often clinically innaparent contamination of most of warm-blooded animals. Clinically it manifests itself through septicaemia, haemolytic anaemia, icterus, interstitial nephritis, bloody urine and miscarriage. We have covered 207 foxes during the two year investigation (2009-10), in which we have been using the method of collection of serum on filter paper. To determine antibodies for different casts of Leptospira in the fox serum, we have used the method of microscopic agglutination. In the procedure itself, as reagent, we have used 11 standard casts of Leptospirae spp.: Icterohaemorrhagiae, Canicola, Ballum, Australis, Pomona, Grippothyphosa, Sejroe, Saxkoebing, Tarassovi, , Bataviae and Hardjo. In the tested blood samples of 207 foxes, in 80 (38, 64%) foxes we have determined specific antibodies for different servo vars of Leptospira spp.: Australis 27, 54%, Sejroe 8, 70%, Hardjo 0, 48%, Pomona 1, 93%, Icterohaemorrhagiae 6, 76 %, Canicola 0, 48%, Saxkoebing 5, 31%, Bataviae 5, 31%, Tarassovi 3, 86%, Gripothyphosa 0, 97%, Ballum 0, 48%. The result of servoprevalence of 38, 65 % different servovars of Leptospira spp. in foxes from the continental Croatia, among which the most common are the servovars Australis, Sejroe i Icterohaemorrhagiae, is the proof that the foxes represent a significant basins of leptospira for domestic and wild canids as well as for humans
