Sažetak
The aim of this review is to give insight into the most frequent methods of application of safety pictograms on candle packaging. A general categorization of those methods was made and a rough comparative analysis of those categories displayed. The comparison was based on the evaluation of noticeability and legibility of applied pictograms. The observation of 14 samples of candle packaging which differ according to the material, pictogram application and the ability of reusing the packaging resulted in the following assumption – that the use of reusable packaging has no significant influence on the effectiveness of pictograms. The review points out the importance of pictogram design that is adjusted to the application depending on the type of packing. The review also stresses the need for further research in that area, based on more detailed and accurately defined parameters than the ones mentioned in this review.
