Sažetak
In Mascioni's novel Puck the war in Croatia' opens a series of moral, political and culturological questions which the narrator considers within autubiographical discourse. The questions of personal identity as well as of the belonging to the definite culturologic traditional circle arise as key points around which the natural texture of the novel is built. The novel deals with certain themes related to the identity of Eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin wall and her frontiers with regard to Western Europe. The war experience in Dubrovnik enables in the novel etnical interpretation of the war in Croatia which points to a series of paradoxes of contemporary Europe.
