Sažetak
Spinal block as a method of anaesthesia is used in Croatian hospitals with varied frequency. Analaysing PATH indicators for the year 2010 in 15 Croatian hospitals, General hospital Bjelovar was classified among 5 hospitals in which elective Cesarean section is performed exclusively under general anaesthesia. Since multiple advantages of spinal block for Cesarean section are well-known, the authors wanted to examine the reasons why it is still not applied in our hospital.
