Sažetak
A search for doubly charged Higgs bosons in the CMS experiment is presented. The analysis makes use of the 2010 data collected at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{;s};_{;pp};$ = 7 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $\ensuremath{;{;\cal L};_{;\mathrm{;int};};}; \sim 36~\ensuremath{;\mathrm{;pb^{;-1};};};$. The search strategy is optimized in the context of a see-saw model which incorporates a new Higgs triplet, assuming the production channels $q\bar{;q}; \rightarrow \gamma^{;*};, Z^{;*}; \rightarrow H^{;++};H^{;--};$ and $q\bar{;q'}; \rightarrow W^{;\pm*}; \rightarrow H^{;\pm\pm};H^{;\mp};$, and the decays $H^{;\pm\pm}; \rightarrow l^{;\pm}; l^{;\prime \pm};$ and $H^{;\pm}; \rightarrow l^{;\pm}; \nu$, with $l, l^{;\prime}; = e, \mu, \tau$. The analysis focuses on the identification of isolated electrons and muons, including $\tau$ leptons decaying leptonically. Simple sets of sequential cuts are used to cover the various possible three- and four-lepton (electron or muon) final states. No excess is observed beyond the Standard Model expectation. Depending on the considered model, mass limits in the range 117-184.6 \ensuremath{;\, \mathrm{;Ge\kern - 0.1em V\!/c};^2}; at 95\% confidence level are set for the doubly charged Higgs which extends beyond current experimental limits.
