Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to show usage of iPROPS model in process of developing the system for controlling and monitoring processes in intelligent home. The paper discusses some of the concepts which have been widely used to produce intelligent homes, including systems suitable for existing installations as well as general solutions. Here, the second concept is selected and for its development it is entirely appropriate to apply methods of software engineering. Hardware solution for the selected concept was designed so that all devices within a controlled area are connected to the CAN network. The second part of the system, the one that refers to the software, exploited existing standard protocols for data communication between object and user and focused on platform independency. A large part of development was dedicated to generate an application with a maximum friendly user interface. This was particularly achieved by usage of web solutions which enabled accessibility of the system at any time and from any place. System also introduced some smart concepts that haven’t been used in elder solutions.
