Sažetak
Introduction In Croatian port Rijeka different influences and subjects met and merged over the centuries. During the period between 1913 and 1991 it was under six different rules. This resulted in rich cultural and historic heritage of Rijeka. The postal and financial operations were very complicated, especially in time of Free State of Fiume (Rijeka, 1918-1924). In this study we demonstrate the possibility to confirm and deepen the philatelic and numismatic knowledge [1, 2] about some samples from Free State of Fiume using non-destructive Raman microscopy and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy.
